I foolishly opened an email I thought was from TalkTalk. I logged into my account and in doing so obviously gave away my password. Every one on my contact list then received an email purporting to be from me that asking for help. If they replied to it they received another email with a sob story but basically asking them to purchase an Amazon gift voucher for someone.
As soon as realised what had happened I logged into TalkTalk and changed my password but I now realise I am not receiving any emails.
What has happened and how do correct things?
