Please link my legacy emails to my TalkTalk fibre account as outlined in my profile as requested.

We were advised no changes should occur for our account as we have been with Talk Talk fibre for many years yet as of today all the emails have stopped being able to send emails. Please link and restore email functionality soonest for the email accounts listed to avoid further inconvenience. Thank you. Mark

Hi @Maverikmk I have gained access to your account and your email addresses are linked to your broadband account. I have escalated for you that you are still unable to use your emails and your email address should be working within the next 48 working hours. I do apologize for the wait encountered.

Guys,

I am trying to be patient, I  really am but have arrived home from a few days break only to find that the 3 non fixed accounts that have been requested to be linked/fixed in terms of  being able to send email from are now logged out and completely unaccessible.

 

Can you please sort this out soonest, I have registered this problem back in July and whilst you have fixed one of the accounts, the three other accounts listed in my personal information as requested are still not linked or been able to send emails and now are unable to receive since the  10th September and the login details are no longer working. This has now become unacceptable service from a paying customer. Please action this soonest.

 

Very fed up customer of many years.......

Hello, @Maverikmk. We sincerely apologize for the delay in providing feedback on this issue, especially considering how long it has persisted. We're glad to report that some of our customers can now send emails. However, we are still addressing the problem, as the number of customers unable to send emails has exceeded our initial estimates. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this matter.

Hi guys, just wondering how patient i need to be? Still have 3 out of 4 emails ( you have fixed one!)  unable to send  for nearly a month and to top it all am getting emails still telling me my TalkTalk mailbox will soon be closed. I really am struggling to understand how so many things can go wrong with my account outside of my control for a paid service I have had for so many years. Can you please escalate soonest to:

1) restore my 3 emails in my private notes with the functionality to send, you have fixed one, not sure why you can't fix the remaining?

2) stop sending me emails suggesting  my talk talk email will close soon, see email below.

3) ensure that based on the email that you remove me from the list of accounts that  will be stopped being logged into from the 8th Sept.

We wanted to remind you that, as your mailbox is not attached to a TalkTalk broadband contract, we’ll start restricting account access from 8 September. Once complete, you’ll no longer be able to log into your email.
If you haven't already signed up to Everymail, your mailbox and its contents will then be closed down from 31 October. This also means your email address will be permanently deactivated. Unfortunately, it won't be possible to recover the contents of your mailbox once it's gone.

If you'd like to keep your mailbox and email address, you need to subscribe to Everymail before 31 October. Sign up here

To sign up, you’ll need to log in with your email address and password. If you’ve forgotten your password please click “Forgot your password?” on the login page. To complete the subscription process, you’ll need to enter your billing details, but don’t worry; no charges will be incurred until 30 days after your subscription begins.

If you don’t sign up to Everymail, you will no longer be able to access your TalkTalk email address or inbox, in line with our terms and conditions. This is permanent and it will not be possible to recover this account once it is closed.

If you don’t want to sign up to Everymail, you should ensure you have downloaded any important messages and copied any important contacts from your TalkTalk inbox before it is closed. You can find step-by-step instructions on how to do this by clicking here

You should also check any existing online accounts, as they may be set up using your TalkTalk email address as well as letting any contacts, like friends and family, know you’ll no longer be contactable on your TalkTalk email address. This means you may miss important communications once you can no longer access this inbox. Messages sent to this inbox after it is closed will be automatically returned to sender as undeliverable.

Hello

I can confirm that one address (m********.co.uk) as stored in my profile is now restored and able to send emails. Thank you 

 

The remaining 3 email addresses   ( l********.co.uk, c*********.net, b***********.net) are still not working in terms of emails not being able to be sent.

 

Not sure why one email on the account has been resolved and the others not but can they please be escalated in order to resolve this soonest across the remaining 3 emails as well.

@Maverikmk, it's affected so many people, I am sure that you will see a flurry of "now I can send emails" posts when it's resolved for everyone. It's not on a case by case basis as it's obviously a system fault, but forum staff will be easy to reach during the week. 

 

They are not on here at weekends, and if you are worried about sending emails out, do set up a free gmail/ Hotmail/ Yahoo etc account. It's always useful to have a non ISP dependent email address anyway.

Hi Philile,

I get that, I am just trying to ascertain if the fix to my account is 1hr, day week or month away so i can make contingency plans  whilst my 4 addresses are not functioning.

 

I also don't know if you guys will let me know when it is fixed or whether TalkTalk are relying on me testing every single day to see if my email send functionality is restored yet.

@Maverikmk I cannot provide any timescale however as mentioned that it has been escalated, this is currently being looked at as we speak, it is not affecting only 1 customer. Please allow the team that working on the resolution to receive the escalations and get to a conclusion, we are also hoping that this will happen as soon as possible. Thanks

Hi and thanks Phili,

 

Any idea what escalation actually means in terms of time to resolution please? Where are we in terms of the queue to get this resolved?

 

I am a long standing customer of both broadband fibre and email services from you guys so based on your information this shouldn't have happened to my account in the first place. I have 4 active email addresses that have not had the ability to send emails since Monday which is becoming increasingly problematic. I have complied with all your requests for info in trying to resolve this. Please can you advise soonest when the functionality to send emails will be restored to my accounts email addresses please.

Okay so I guess there could be another account but not that I am aware of.

 

We were early subscribers to Tiscali and then TalkTalk took Tiscali over so not sure if that helps or would have generated another account.

 

In addition, over the years we have always had a full Talk Talk phone and broadband package but when we moved to Fibre 150 we lost our landline (01908 xxxxxxx) and was on a data only fibre service through TalkTalk  (using CityFibre infrastructure). Again not sure if this has created an  additional/alternative TalkTalk accounts but just wanted to make sure you were fully aware in order to get everything working again. Fingers crossed.

Not that I am aware of.

 

I am still unable to send emails from my account as of yesterday when i was able on Monday and beleive this to be applicable to the 4 accounts mentioned in my profile.

You haven't done anything wrong, the only replies being sent now are from other members. Make sure that you follow the advice in the link below and the support team will pick this up when they are back online tomorrow.

Just wondering why everyone who has posted after me has had several responses yet I seem to have no responses/replies from Talk Talk yet? Have i done something wrong and your not seeing my  post?
