An additional insult to the receipt of dozens of invasive, criminal rubbish emails - every day.  I take a selection to forward, with full Header source information, which surely should enable the security experts at Talktalk to stem the flow of scams: everything from McAfee, Air fryers, DVLA and TV licensing, and that sample is just from today. And now, an added insult: for the selection I have tried to send with Header info I get the following Error message, which refuses to send the Scam Report. It is a sick joke, but not funny. Security needs a complete overhaul. And TalkTalk courtesy is simply non-existent

Hi Jean

Apologies if you were just about to do so but I just wanted to make sure you'd deleted that wrong talktalk address from your contacts list so that your mail sending doesn't get restricted again. Someone that's as helpful as you are deserves our full support.

Hello again Jean.

You're sending spam / phishing emails to the wrong talktalk email address which is why your outgoing sending of mail has been rate limited (the TT603 error message) because your mailbox has been detected as sending spam or other nefarious emails. I know you're trying to be helpful and that's appreciated. In this case, sending to the wrong address has caused the problem.

So, do you think you could follow the guidance in Report a phishing or spam email.

For Spam - just select Mark as spam in TalkTalk Mail webmail. That gets notified automatically. Spam will not be blocked instantly but your report will aid the detection and fingerprinting of typical spam and ultimately network blocking will be activated.

For Phishing - just forward the email as is to phishing@talktalk.co.uk and then, only if requested, extract the header and send that in.
