Hi ya

Is there a way of searching for a certain e mail address that's potentially been listed as  spam a year or so ago and adding it to safe senders list?

It is for Hotdeals newsletter that i have just signed up for again using a link they sent me as i have also asked them for help but I am not receiving a conformation email and nothing in my spam folder also.

Thanks

Maybe sign up for the newsletter again with a different email address, @Pash02 ?

Hotmail  / Gmail  / Yahoo are free - it would give communication with Hotdeals a fresh start, could be a useful spare address and a lot less hassle than fiddling around with your settings?

You can try these options as well to address the issue:

Contact Hot Deals: Asking them for the email addresses they use is a good first step. This will help you identify which addresses to whitelist.

Add to Allowed List: Once you have the email addresses, adding them to your allowed or safe sender list should help ensure that future emails from those addresses go to your inbox instead of the spam folder.

Reviewing your spam filter settings.

Regularly Check Spam Folder: Keep an eye on your spam folder for a while after making these changes, just in case any emails still slip through.
Mark as Not Spam: If you find any emails from Hot Deals in your spam folder, mark them as "Not Spam. This action can help the filter to recognize future emails from them as legitimate.

By following these steps, you should be able to improve the chances of receiving emails from Hot Deals in your inbox.

If an email from Hot Deals has been marked as spam in your webmail, future emails from them may continue to land in your spam folder, especially if a filtering system is used that remembers past spam reports.

Thanks @fr8ys and @nomfezeko-TT

It looks like I'm stuffed if it did go to the webmail spam folder over a year ago.

I will reply the the techy at hotdeals and see what they say.

If the  hotdeal email has been registered as Spam wont any e mails sent by them still land in my webmail spam folder?

There is nothing in my blocked list.

If i ask HD for there e mail address's they use and i add them to the allowed list would this work?

Thanks again ❤️

It depends on the programme you use. Sometimes you can be specific with a folder, others you can't.

It also depends on how long you keep your spam for.

If you open your webmail and select the spam folder, by scrolling down or sorting by date you can see how old the spam is. If it's recent then once deleted you can't get mail back.

If it covers the period you are looking for use the search function and search for hotdeals.  This will bring up everything you've had from them. Again if no results are found then there is no way to retrieve them.

If you feel you may have blocked them then see your blocked senders list and unblock them
