Tiscali account not receiving gmail

My tiscali email account is no longer receiving emails sent from Gmail accounts. I am waiting on some important documents but when the sender tried to email me, their email was bounced back to them. I've tried emailing myself from my Gmail account, and whilst my Gmail said it had sent, my tiscali didn't receive it. I have also tried sending from a few other Gmail accounts, but none of them are getting through to my tiscali. Have talktalk changed any settings or added filters which are stopping Gmails getting through?

Emails have just started coming though. I've sent 6 test emails throughout the day. 5 and 6 came in first, followed by 1, 2 and 3.

12 hours into the "delay" and it's still not working.

I have been trying to contact TalkTalk support but a pointless exercise. Let's hope it is resolved but I have my doubts.

The last I heard, they had identified the problem and implemented a fix, but there will be a delay while the systems return to normal. No news yet on how long that delay will be though.

Can TalkTalk advise what the cause of this problem is and when it will be resolved.

Do they know how long of a delay there might be? I've just checked again and gmails still aren't coming through.

Hello,

 

Latest update: 10:53am 11th November 2024

Our engineers have fixed this issue and all impacted customers will start to see their email service working as it should. There may still be a delay in this as the email service fully resolves and we will continue to monitor this. We'd like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.

Morning everyone,

 

Apologies, the issue has been identified and the team have applied a fix to resolve this. I've asked the team to confirm if there may be a delay in emails coming through following this fix and I will post back here to confirm.

Thanks for your helpful reply. I also spent an hour on a chat line this evening imploring the person on the other end to look at the community forum reports. It's working with emails sent via AOL and a message from Right Move sneaked in, but apart from that... complete radio silence!

There is a very specific fault in the interface between tiscali.co.uk and the rest of the email world, which means emails originating from Microsoft or Google based email services is not getting through to addresses on tiscali.co.uk. There are now upwards of two dozen individual user reports here in the community, and I spent an hour using online chat on Saturday morning to report the fault to Talktalk. We can only hope that when one of the Talktalk staff arrives on the Community on Monday morning, someone will start getting it fixed.

Now surfing from a Dell Inspiron 3881 running Windows 11 and a Qualcomm QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter with Sagemcom FAST 5364 router.
