Unable to Reset Password After Hack

My Father's account has been hacked, emails sent to his contacts and his sent folder deleted.  This seems to match the recent experience of others on here.

His mail password was unaffected so I have tried to re-set this by invoking the re-set process (forgotten password) however, despite having an alternative email and mobile number on the account, no re-set link is being sent out to either.

I then tried to re-send his main TalkTalk account following the forgotten password process and he receives the security pin (by text) but, after entering a new password, I just get a message saying something like: 'there are technical problems please try again later'.

There is no information regarding any system outage at the moment.

@AIWAL, I'm afraid there's no staff support before morning now.

 

Please ensure that your Personal Information profile is complete and similar details for your father are put in the Private Notes area, towards the end of that section. 

 

You access all this via your avatar; settings etc and don't post any of it in the public thread. 

 

Scroll down, once completed,  to find the SAVE CHANGES button.
