Unable to send email from @tiscali.co.uk and @lineone.net addresses on iphone

We use old @Tiscali.co.uk and @Lineone.net addresses in the family and recently all have stopped being capable

of sending emails from our iphones. All settings have been checked and are as required and described in many posts on this site, as they were before when working. Error messages are typically as per attached photos. Can anybody help?

So long as the password is correct and complies with the minimum security requirements then the settings will work.

 

Let me know if you still have problems sending and so long as there are no problems receiving mail for the same email address for the incoming mail server.

 

Don't forget that because each email address requires its own email server to authenticate its outgoing SMTP server settings you cannot use a common outgoing server for both lineone and tiscali addresses.

Thank you very much for your further reply and great help. I am afraid evem if with changes as per attached photo I still get the same error messages. Will try to delete the account and create it again

The Incoming IMAP mail server host name: mail.talktalk.net

This is for all TalkTalk Mail domains including lineone.net and tiscali.co.uk

 

The Outgoing SMTP mail server host name: smtp.talktalk.net

This is for all TalkTalk Mail domains including lineone.net and tiscali.co.uk

 

The Outgoing Username is the full email address for the account e.g.Everyone@tiscali.co.uk The Username is not optional.

The Outgoing Password is the email password for the account. The Password is not optional.

Authentication is by Password

 

Make those changes and you'll be fine.

Hi Gondola thank you very much for your prompt response and availability. Photos attached. To add some more detail incomling mail works fine and using 4G or wifi does not make a difference.

Regrettably your email settings are definitely not as recommended by TalkTalk.

 

For a definitive check of email settings take screenshots of the incoming and outgoing server settings you have setup on one of the iPhones, image edit to obscure the first part of the email address and upload here using the Picture icon (mobile browser) above this reply area.

 

I will then advise you what settings to update.
