My emails were hacked, after problems with changing the password I am now able to sign into webmail. All emails in the inbox were not there and now I’m not receiving any except the odd one and the odd spam, usually I receive lots!
Any idea what I can do?

@SueEH Please also check the trash, spam, and any custom folders

If rules were added, emails could be hiding in unexpected folders.
Have a look in:

  • Trash
  • Spam
  • Archive
  • Any folders you don’t recognize

If emails vanish from Talktalk's webmail, they cannot be retrieved.

Always save copies of anything important elsewhere, independent of the Webmail storage.

Hi there @SueEH Thanks for reaching out I'm sorry for the email issue you had. Getting hacked is horrible, and missing emails on top of that is understandably worrying.
Check if the hacker set up any mail rules
Sometimes when an account is compromised, the attacker creates filter rules that secretly move your emails to another folder or even delete them.
In Webmail:
Settings → Mail → Rules / Filters
If you see anything there that you didn’t create, delete it.

Let me know how this goes
