I've been using POP accounts in Outlook for my Tiscali email addresses with no problem. Recently my hard drive crashed and the person who helps me with IT matters managed to recover my files and get them on to a temporary drive, However he was unable to get the setup process for POP accounts to work and left me temporarilly using IMAP accounts.
I don't know what the issue was and I'm trying to sort out exactly what to do so it all goes smoothly when he helps me gat set up on a new Windows 11 PC. I've printed the instructions off the website which look straightforward, but am puzzled by one thing. Last year when I had to set up more secure connections I was told to connect to TalkTalk servers. However, looking at the three IMAP accounts I have set up, one is accessing TalkTalk servers but the other two are accessing Tiscali servers. Which servers should i be connecting to, or do we just go with whatever the auto setup says?
Thanks

The TalkTalk Mail server host names to use for all TalkTalk Mail domains (both POP3 and IMAP) are mail.talktalk.net for the incoming server and smtp.talktalk.net for the outgoing SMTP server.
Email apps may 'auto-detect' or 'auto-select' incorrect or incomplete host names and or incorrect ports and encryption security settings. The recommendation is to set up manually using the TalkTalk specified settings for ALL TalkTalk Mail domains.
