Ask us about your TalkTalk email account and Webmail.

Some people sending to my talktalk email are receiving the following message from the talktalk server: "Sorry, we’ve identified a number of outgoing emails from your email provider as spam so we haven’t been able to send your email to its intended recipient." If I send from my gmail to my talktalk this also now produces the same error message.
I do not have any filters set up. How do I add those email senders to a whitelist?
Thanks

You could check to make sure you have no Filter rules defined in your online mailbox.
Select here: Sign in to TalkTalk Mail
Enter your email address and password, select Sign in.
Check the Inbox first and then check Spam and Trash folders for mail messages that may have been diverted from the Inbox. Bear in mind the spam and trash folders normally contain mail not older than 30 days.
Compose and self-send the same mailbox a mail message. Check that the message sends without error, is copied into the Sent objects folder and arrives and stays in the Inbox.
Mail not reaching the Inbox could mean there's a Filter rule, including an Auto forward which is a special filter rule, that's diverting, discarding or blocking mail.

Thanks. But if the email is coming from a major provider eg gmail and is legitimate how can I stop talktalk blocking those emails? Especially as some are from me (from my gmail address)!?

TalkTalk don't have a whitelist feature. It's up to the sending mail service to maintain a good sending reputation by stopping spam at source and if they fail to do so then TalkTalk reserves the right to rate limit or block mail from spam senders.
Select here: Sign in to TalkTalk Mail
Enter your full TalkTalk Mail email address, select Continue and enter the password, select Sign in.
If you've inadvertently marked mail as spam then look in your spam folder, select the emails you want to keep and select Not spam from the toolbar.
