Hi 

I can't send emails and I just get a box saying there is a problem with the outgoing server SMTP. I use Thunderbird. I think Webmail is ok but I need to test it.

Hi @silvergirl 

 

I have been doing more work on this and I am not convinced this is actually a TalkTalk issue. It looks like something has caused the SMTP mail server (outgoing emails) password to be erased in the email client. Putting it back seems to have resolved the issue. For more details, please see my post #20 in this thread of mine:-

Hi @amahle-TT 

 

This will definitely be caused by the SMTP mail server problem affecting numerous customers up & down the country. I can see no point in @silvergirl needing to contact the full fibre helpdesk.

 

I reported this on my thread yesterday & @kanya-TT is waiting on Nic to get an incident raised. My thread is:-

Alright thank you for confirming, I have checked on your account you need to contact our full fibre team using the number below and they will be able to run checks and assist further.

Webmail worked yesterday but there is still a problem because the Mail app on the iPad is also not sending emails but placing them in an Outbox.
