For years I was able to send an email to about 20 people without problems. Now I get this message: Subject 'test from aaa', Account: 'aaa tiscali', Server: 'smtp.talktalk.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '453 4.2.0 8ixCgjTDPpXFj Sorry, we can’t send this email at the moment because you’ve sent a lot of emails recently. Please wait an hour or so and then try sending your email again. For more information visit our help article (link: help2.talktalk.co.uk/i-cant-send-or-receive-emails) (TT603)', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 453, Error Number: 0x800CCC61 And I only sent an email to about 10 people. AND my wife who has her own email address now gets the same message, and her email account is nothing to do with me, except it is the same router and isp! The TT help is of no use.

Hi @computerman

 

The error message and the circumstances point to the TalkTalk spam protection blocking your sending.  Normally you can send to up to 50 recipients every hour.  But that's using fully authenticated secure email.  And if there's any recipient email addresses that are either unavailable or blocking receipt of your emails then the spam protection will definitely kick in.

 

What you've got setup is insecure email via port 25.

 

Here are the talktalk email settings that you should use to update your email clients.
