I rely on Pop3 / imap to collect my email - via Thunderbird which has a decent spam filter.
On checking my account via webmail I've discovered that some valid messages have been going to the webmail spam folder so I never see them.
I've checked settings - all settings - mail - advanced but I dont see any option to change the spam filter settings.
I'd be happy for all my messages - including spam - to come to my email client
but I'm NOT happy for some to be hidden before I choose what to do with them.
Can I change - or turn off - the spam filtering?

Unfortunately, due to the hundreds of millions of spam mails per day it's impossible to turn off spam filtering. I use Gmail and don't see much spam, maybe 50 per day, but then I also don't know if there's something I'm not receiving.

Thanks Ady but you are missing the point.
if i get a message from a new person and it goes into my webmail spam I wont see it. It could be important and urgent.
Do I need to log on to webmail every few hours to see if I've received a message its decided is spam?
Can I add ALL potential senders to my allow list? Or can I disable the spam filtering altogether?
Why should I accept my emails being screened?

Hi oldfogie, you can add the senders to your allow list. OpenXchange added the feature to webmail a month or so back. Open the mail click the 3 dots and you'll see a drop down menu at the bottom add sender to allow list.
