2 relevant replies to the post, and the rest is clutter.

The OP also didn't reply to the staff member picking this up.

@sjp1011, I'll close this thread for now. Please send me a PM if you wish to continue this topic on the community.

If one comes to the community, I think it is solicited

Giving 1 reply, is not called bombarding.

Edit: One can easily switch off notifications

Edit 2: If he had received notifications, he would have replied.

Maybe the OP doesn't wish to be bombarded with notifications, @Billx.?

It's great if people do post back and let us know what worked or whether they still need support, but if they don't get back to us, perhaps they wish to be left in peace?

Repeated unsolicited follow ups could be perceived as a nuisance.

So, it is not known, whether it has been resolved

Maybe the OP has given up.

He was sent a message only today, by someone else.

Hi, @sjp1011

As you can see above, I have offered alternative settings.

How recently have you used this onetel.com email address? Do you know the password?

Have you recently tried to use it, via TalkTalk webmail?

The advice that has previously been given in the community threads is as follows:

TalkTalk Mail supports both IMAP4 and POP3 protocols. The only difference in the recommended email client settings is the secure port number.

IMAP4 incoming server for ALL TalkTalk Mail domains
mail.talktalk.net using SSL/TLS connection security on the IMAP secure port 993

POP3 incoming server for ALL TalkTalk Mail domains
mail.talktalk.net using SSL/TLS connection security on the secure POP3 port 995

SMTP outgoing server for ALL TalkTalk Mail domains
smtp.talktalk.net using StartTLS connection security on port 587

Authentication is with the Full email address as Username and normal email password

onetel.com is a TalkTalk Mail domain.

Have I got it wrong?

Hi @sjp1011 the best I can find

To setup ONETEL email on Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Apple Mail, Windows Mail use the following settings: ONETEL IMAP Settings (Recommended): User Name: your_Email@onetel.com Password: your email login password Incoming Mail Server: mail.onetel.com Incoming Port: 143 Incoming SSL: No Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.onetel.com Outgoing Port: 25 Outgoing SSL: No Outgoing Authentication: No ONETEL POP3 Settings:

No guarantees

I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.
