I have recently left talktalk and was told i could take out an annual subscrition and my email account would still reamin active however whenever i try to access webmail to open the paid account it tells me my password is not recognised. I have followed change my password procedure but still no luck. How do i transfer my talktalk email to webmail?

Hi @yorkshirelad1 I have received feedback regarding your case from the EveryMail escalation team. They have indicated that your account was disconnected at the time they classified the email addresses for migration to EveryMail or signing up. As a result, you will receive separate communication later on, allowing you to sign up for EveryMail. In the meantime, your email address should be functioning properly. Could you please confirm whether your email is working correctly or if you are experiencing any restrictions?

Hey there, @yorkshirelad1. We have not yet received feedback also on our end, but one thing for sure, it is being looked at.

Any response to your escalation of the problem, I still can't move my email account to everymail and I am running out of time. I was promised when I closed my account that I could, for a fee, continue using the email adddress by moving to email.

I have reviewed your account and noticed that it was closed on August 11, 2025. Since you disconnected your account after the migration to EveryMail had begun, this is why you did not receive the email to sign up for EveryMail or were unable to use the link. I have escalated your issue to my manager so that our Migration/EveryMail Team can investigate this matter for you.

Thank you for your comphrensive reply which nicely sums up the situation. The problem I seem to have is opening an Easymail account using my Talktalk email address and password, it simply won't let me submit them. I was told that TalkTalk would continue using my email address and password for 1 month after i closed my account which seems to be happening.

My Account with Talktalk was closed on 22 August I believe. As i see it at the moment I am stuck until I can find a way to open an Easymail account.

Thank you.

@Gliwmaeden2, I can be able to further investigate this on my end.

@yorkshirelad1, please update your community profile and add your landline number and/or account number so your account can be identified. Please don't post personal information here. Please do confirm once done.

@yorkshirelad1, you wouldn't have been able to sign up for Mailplus while still having a Talktalk Broadband service  - it was always done AFTER leaving, as email was simply included in the active Talktalk service. So not sure why there would be any suggestion at all of reactivating the account.

So those that have already left would either have signed up for Mailplus at some stage to maintain full features of email management [& these people are being automatically moved over to Everymail] ...

OR,  others that used just webmail and didn't pay for Mailplus have been warned that they must pay Everymail to keep these addresses going.

Then there's also been the muddle for folks with old legacy addresses but active Talktalk broadband that need to make sure that Talktalk has connected the email addresses to their current broadband account.

You're not in that category, but may have fallen between the two stools of Mailplus & Everymail.

Perhaps @sabelo-TT  / @kanya-TT  / @nomfezeko-TT could check when the Mailplus option ceased to be available.

And exactly when did your broadband service end?

The former Mailplus customers are being moved across in batches and I don't think there's any way you can now get into that category.

So you should be in the category for simply signing up to Everymail, as hanging onto webmail access will no longer be an option.

Sorry to be longwinded, but my understanding is that Mailplus is no longer an option.

To complicate matters further, some customers with an active broadband account but linked legacy email addresses have subscribed to Everymail in desperation after they found that sending had stopped [& your sending has too ] - there's definitely been a massive muddle going on with that. They simply shouldn't have had to subscribe and are now mostly trying to retreat from Everymail by backing out during the trial period.

You can't just have an account opened with Talktalk that is not on an 18 month - 2 year contract.

Setting up a subscription directly with Everymail has to be the way forward for you. That company has to find a way to enable this for you, as suggested in the earlier staff replies.

What's particularly puzzling is that despite your initial mention of the password not being accepted, you must currently be correctly signed in to your emails as you are able to receive them....

@yorkshirelad1, by investigation through this matter, I am aware that you have cancelled your account with us (TalkTalk). If I may double check on something, have you subscribed to TalkTalk Mail Plus the time you have optioned to cancel your broadband account as you are still in use of your TalkTalk email address?

Any developments on this, despite numerous posts and being told the problem had been escalated I still cannot join Easymail in order to set up an account with them which will allow me to continue sending and receiving emails despite my account being de-activated. I was promised on a number of occassions prior to making the decision to move my account to another provider that if I was prepared tp pay, which I am, I could continue using my Talktalk email address and my talktalk account would be moved to Easymail. Have I been mis-informed?

No, we cannot resend the link as it is done by the system.

Have you tried using webmail to login

.

it asks me to enter my email address which i do but then it will not let me submit it - the procedure locks out. After many hours of trying to sort this out it seems that I need a link from talktalk to gain entry to the Everymail joining system, once I have this it asks for verification and then hopefully allows me to open an account. Everymail assume that I received one before my Talktalk account was made dormant. Is it possible to resend the link I am meant to have received prrior to my account being closeD?

Thank you for the response. What error are you getting when trying to open Everymail account?

I have progressed a little since my last post. Everymail will not recognise my email address presumably because the account has been closed so I can't open an everymail account. As I am still within a one month period since I switched providers from Talktalk and I was promised support for that period,, is it possible to reactivate my account so everymail can recognise my address and hopefully allow me to open an account with them

I am becoming desperate, it would appear that I am now unable to send emails as some I sent yesterday have not been received by recipents(checked and not not in junk folder)  but it seems I can receive emails sent to me. I have not had any response yet reference  taking out an Everymail account.

Grateful for any help
