It would appear talktalk cant add any emails to the MyAccount. They couldn't add a mail.com, outlook.com or gmail.com and was told this could take a month to resolve ?

It can take up to 28 calendar days.
So a month to add an email for password recovery purposes! How is this considered fit for purpose ?

About 2 years ago I was using a TalkTalk email address to login to 'MyAccount'
I was advised by TalkTalk that I had to use a non-TalkTalk email address to login to 'MyAccount'.
So I had to, and did.
So, are you currently using a non-TalkTalk email address to login to 'MyAccount'?
If you are, I don't see why you can't login to 'MyAccount'
Also how many TalkTalk email accounts (i.e. ...@talktalk.net or older accounts like ...@tiscali.co.uk) do you have?
And how many of these are or were showing in the TalkTalk Mailbox Hub, referred above?

No can't login to MyAccount and the only email address for recovery is the MyAccount email that cant access. Was trying to add an alternate which cant because of the above. Talktalk have a mobile number as but apparently that isn;t used for password recovery.
So despite giving talktalk an alternate email address which they have emailed last week and added a mobile number which they have sent a code to for verification neither of these appear on password recovery so still cant access MyAccount.
Indeed now when clicking on MyAccount says is not registered! In a week and 8 hours online in total rather than fix it talktalk have made it worse and now they are saying it will be 28 days to attempt to fix it.

As far as I can see, you're talking about the TalkTalk Mailbox Hub, at https://service.talktalk.co.uk/manage-email
Only TalkTalk email addresses like ...@talktalk.net, ...@tiscali.co.uk, etc, may be added there, not Gmail.cm, Outlook.com, etc.
And currently, not even TalkTalk email addresses may be added.
So to go forward with this,
are you able to login to your TalkTalk 'MyAccount'?
How may TalkTalk email addresses are already recorded in TalkTalk Mailbox Hub, above?
Is it just your 1 TalkTalk email address?
