tiscali email issues

yesterday there were problems with Tiscali email (either slow or no access).  Whilst there has been a fix, in the interim I deleted and reinstalled an email app on my Android device, and tried to reconnect with my Tiscali email.

Unfortunately, every time I try to log in/reconnect I get an error saying the email address/log in is incorrect.  It is the same when i try to add my Tiscali email to an existing email client.  I know the email is working as it is live on my PC, but it is frustrating that it wont reconnect on my phone.

Any ideas?

The two most common issues are:

1. Not using the correct incoming and outgoing secure server settings. Guide given below.
2. Not using a password that's compliant with security requirements - minimum 8 characters, multicase letters and at least one number and one symbol.
