where on the router can i find the pin number and where can i find a security key

im trying to connect a printer to laptop. im being asked for a pin number relating to the router but i have passwords, ip address,user name but nothing is being accepted so obviously the pin is elsewhere. Also the site asks for security key number? Can anyone make sense for me please.

Not sure they have one. If asked on any device I always try 0000 or 1234 which are most defaults.

 

I doubt there is a WPS button on your printer either.

 

What make and model printer is it?

 

Have you searched a printer forum to see if others have had a similar issue?

Hi @honeywise could you share with us the printer make and model and the tablet / computer operating system please?
