Hi,
I'm trying to set up the multi-room music on my Alexa dots, but the trouble shooting says it's detecting AP Isolation (client isolation) is enabled on my router and needs to be turned off
I've turned off 5ghz and am just using 2.4 now so it's not that - but I have looked through the entire Router AI and can't find where to disable AP Isolation for the life of me
Help please?
Device looks to be called/version "FAST F5364-3.T8"
thank you!

Thank you - re. Alexa, it looks like it's a common issue with them jumping between the two bands and if one is on a different band to the other, they won't sync for music - not to worry mind, found a workaround for that by putting all of my dots into the same "room" config instead
Touchwood I'm quite happy leaving 5ghz off now, we had a lot of issues with our wireless connections cutting out recently and it's been perfect today since turning 5 off - we use ethernet for the important stuff so no worries there either
Thanks both for your help!

Hi @RachelC16
There is one problem that you will now have, due to a bug in both 174 and 202 firmware. When you re-enable the 5GHz band, it will not work correctly. The only current workaround is to do a factory reset on the router & input your normal configuration. To do this, log into the router & go to:-
Dashboard > See internet settings > Manage advanced settings > TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub > Maintenance > Resets
Then click the Factory settings Reset button.
I cannot believe that an Amazon device such as Alexa will not work on the 5GHz band.

Hi both,
Thank you for coming back to me so quickly - I'm guessing it's a problem with Alexa then; I appreciate your help!

Hi @RachelC16
AP Isolation is not enabled between the standard networks & cannot be changed within the router's UI. Unless your router is running firmware V202, Guest networks do not work.

I'm not sure re the AP isolation itself but a guest network is itself an AP Isolation which is why I mentioned it.
You would have needed to set this up yourself so if you haven't you won't have one.
@KeithFrench (our resident router expert) any thoughts?

I don't think so - where would I be able to check that? I see no mention of guest mode in the UI
Also, is there a setting anywhere in the Router UI where I can simply turn off AP isolation?
Thank you,

Do you have a guest mode activated?
If so try turning that off.
Does it help?
