Eero 6 g running hot

My Eero 6 is running hot. Position and location as instructed on set up.  Have disconnected VOIP device and phone  from router some months ago and don’t believe this is the problem. Had Eero for over 3 years and Wi-Fi range has deteriorated

I have always been concerned about that, which is why I always put them on about three coasters. However, if you have concerns, the TalkTalk support staff on this forum do not have access to the Full Fibre systems. Therefore, you will need to contact the Full Fibre Helpdesk on: 0345 172 0074.

Their opening hours are Monday-Friday 08:00 to 19:00, Saturday 09:00 to 18:00, Sunday: Closed.

Thanks for the information. My concern is that the router is running noticeably hotter than it has in the past despite being in a better position. Concerned re potential marking of bureau it is stood on, so now on mat together with reduced efficiency. Does the router need replacement?

It has no ventilation, the metal plate at the bottom is the only way of dissipating the heat.
