Hi I currently have Fibre 75 through a standard phone line. I am considering Firbre 150. Can this service use the same phone line connection? Also why does Fibre 150 require a modem?

I don't know if G.Fast (Fibre 150 over a phone line) is still available any more & if so it was very much down to the equipment in your Fibre cabinet. Fibre 150 is normally delivered over the new full-fibre network now.

In either case, the modem contained inside the current modem/routers that TalkTalk supply (e.g. Wi-Fi Hubs 1 & 2), is not compatible with either of these services. That is why you need a separate modem.

The TalkTalk Community has now moved to a peer-to-peer support model. This means that the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - TalkTalk Help & Support
