Just renewed my Fibre65 contract fixed price for 24 months. Stayed with Fibre65 because an advisor explained Talk Talk cannot provide digital voice in my area. Also if they could provide digital voice on full fibre, I would be forced to have a new phone number and be obliged to have a price increase every April.
Two days after agreeing the new 24 month fixed price Fibre65 I get a text message from Talk Talk telling me my broadband would be switching to Full Fibre on 28th November. I tried to get more answers from the sender of the text, waste of time, I think it was a BOT! Finally got advice to visit here.
I have four main questions, 1) How is that going to affect my contract agreed on 6th November 2024 for a 24 month fixed price? 2) Will I be forced to have a new land line telephone number which we have been using for over 40 years. 3) Can I stay as I am on the new connection and for how long? 4) My current computer systems are using a direct connection via RJ45. The entry point for full fibre would be at the furthest end of the property with (assumed) Wi-Fi router at or near that point. I would like to know how well I would get Wi-Fi coverage for the computer systems. How good is the signal strength?
Any and all suggestions/answers gratefully received.

That's strange, I received another SMS yesterday 12th November asking me " to confirm if your happy for your free of charge broadband with Digital Voice upgrade to go ahead on Fri 29th Nov between 8AM-1PM."

Hi MacDerby
There is no upgrade order showing on the system, I think the SMS has been sent in error.
The deal you agreed on the 6th remains.
