I recently rejoined Talk Talk after renegotiating my contract.
One of my reasons for leaving was my dislike of the Sagem router with its wifi optimisation that seems to automatically asign 5ghz wifi to Ch36.
I asked for a new router and was told I would be sent a Black router. I was really happy with this.
This has now arrived but was another sagem fast router.
Can I please be sent a Talk Talk WiFi Hub Black - Huawei DG8041W?
I am happy to send the Sagem one back.
Many Thanks,

I see that you have posted another copy of a post as a new topic, @PleasehelpmeTTalk. I'll move that out of the way.
I'll move this one to billing, for the current issue to be looked into, about a £110 charge.
Edit: latest post now moved to billing.

Hello,
I'm sorry for the delay. Would you like us to switch the Wifi Optimisation off?
Thanks

I do believe Amazon sell their own routers called eero 6 or eero Pro 6 or eero Pro 6E. You'll need a modem in between the router and the Master socket so if you have a Gfast service you may already have a Gfast Openreach modem.
I expect you're wanting a router with a modem included. If your FTTC connection is not a Gfast service then I expect you'll find a whole range of VDSL modem routers from Draytek, Asus, TP-Link etc.

Can anyone please advise of a good generic router that I can buy on Amazon that works with FTTC?
Best Regards

There's no stock of the Huawei router available. TalkTalk Support will respond to your request to switch off Wi-fi optimization if that's what you would prefer.
