New router but internet VERY painfully slow

I have just received a new TalkTalk router after the previous one was faulty, but now the internet connection is extremely slow - please help!

Hi, yes I am. I have just connected to the router and it says my download speed is 4.0Mbps, upload speed 2.8 Mbps
