Hello there @laine1958, sure you can as we offer a wide range of plans which do not include landline. We do call these Full Fibre Data-Only plans.

Should you be interested in one of these, I will strongly advise for you to get in touch with our Loyalty department using 0345 172 0088 Monday - Friday 9am - 7pm; Saturday - 9am - 6pm; Sunday - Closed via voice call or simply access the following link for chat assistance. https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Our-live-chat-team/ta-p/2230529

Alternatively, in short, Full Fibre is a fibre optic cable speeding your data back and forth from the “box on the wall” (ONT) all the way through to your service provider and beyond.  It’s the most reliable technology currently on the market and offers speeds up to 900 Megabits per second.

Customers with a Full Fibre connection get better speeds, fewer dropouts and better performance than FTTC or MPF customers. Fibre optic cables are more powerful and more resilient than copper so you’re less likely to experience a fault.

Full Fibre (FTTP) gives customers a fibre connection direct to their home. Removing all copper eliments away from the line. This means the customer will no longer use an NTE/SSFP.

Installation is similar to copper-based broadband. There’s a box on the wall called the ONT which carries the service – this replaces the traditional master socket. The router connects to the ONT and moves the data around the devices in the home

We offer both Data Only and Digital Voice connections to our Full Fibre customers.

Digital Voice is TalkTalk’s Voice over Internet Protocol service (VoIP). It is also referred to as IP telephony, internet telephony, or internet calling. It replaces the conventional phone service offered over copper networks (such as MPF and FTTC). Digital Voice customers can make use of the same calling features and call boosts that are offered on our standard telephone services. However, any existing extension sockets in the customer’s home will not function on a Digital Voice service.

Available Networks

We work with Openreach, CityFibre and Freedom Fibre to supply Full Fibre services to our customers.

Digital Voice is currently available on an Openreach Network (City Fibre currently in trial).
