Router suddenly stopped connecting to the internet

I woke up this morning to no internet connection. After restarting the router (the sagecom type, fairly new as I've only had it a couple of months) it just sits on flashing amber & white lights for however long I leave it. Trying to connect to it through its IP gives an error and wont let me log in.

 

Ive setup a very old router I have and that connects to the internet fine. (though this one was replaced as it sometimes drops out)

Glad to hear that the replacement router has resolved the problem, thanks for letting us know. Yes, if you could return the old router in the bag provided that would be great

Hello, the router arrived and seems to be working fine for now. Hopefully it doesn't die in 3 months again.

 

Do you want me to send the old broken router back in the bag?

The router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

 

Let us know how the connection compares with this router.

I've completed a line test which hasn't detected any faults. Are you happy for me to send a replacement router?

Have you tried connecting at the test socket? Any noticeable issues with the phoneline?
