Solid red LOS light and no internet

Hi my internet connection has failed today.  The box on the wall shows a solid red LOS light and the power light and thats it.  I have powered down and reseated the cable coming in to the box.  No luck at all.  Tried Talk Talk support team via chat  but they said they haven't even tried any tropubleshooting with me.  just said someone will ring me back.
