Hi

My router has suddenly stopped operating on the 2.4Ghz WiFi

Devices can connect to the 5Ghz channel OK, but not the devices that can only use 2.4Ghz
Have power recycled the router but still same.

Can I be sent a new router please as it seems to have gone faulty ?
Thanks

All they tell me is that it was done for security reasons. No there isn't a hidden page.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - TalkTalk Help & Support

Hi Keith

Thats surprising. Why was it removed ?

How do users backup the router config ?

You are entitled to choose your own equipment if you prefer, but the TalkTalk WiFi Hub 2 is far from "pants."

Well its a hard to get one now. Its a ZYXEL router version XMG3927-B50A it can work with G.Fast as well. Works good on TT-FTTC. I even

bought a 2nd hand one set it all up (used the saved settings from the one Im using, tested it all works with all my stuff) packed it away so if my current working one plays up I can quickly plug cables into this one and away I go no fiddling with settings again. I have it all set up with 2 more wifi routers in my house all cabled with cat5e or cat6 cable the 2 other routers (TP-Link ones) all set in AP mode. So the Zyxel is the gateway modem/router and goes out to the two TP-Link Archer AX50 routers. Works great.

that’s why the freebie TT routers are `pants` so many things limited you can do or don’t work. You’re better off buying your own and have total 100% control of your router/settings etc. Saved backups, no Wi-Fi locked into chs. Have/use Guest SSID etc. I`ve had my own router/modem over 3 years now with no issues what so ever. Keep the TT one as a test unit and get your own, you will be glad

Backup & restore missing is not a bug, it is by design.
