Probably on the wrong section here but here goes : I just want to check if the renewal of my contract with TalkTalk has gone through OK. which is due in June . I did this a week or so ago - successfully I thought at the time and did it as soon as the reminder came through. When I click onto the appropriate link it keeps saying " one thing at a time - we can't show you any new offers now as you have an order in progress. etc etc  " It could be I have made an error in some way - wouldn't be the first time - sometimes find websites quite hard to navigate. Can't actually think who else I can ask other than on here. Any help please gratefully received.

@dolores4, unless your renewal involves an upgrade to Full Fibre, which is dependant on dates for fitting  / engineers etc, an ordinary renewal goes through within 24 hours.

It supersedes the remainder of the contract, so a new minimum term begins from when it goes through.

But clicking on links in an email  / Offers & Upgrades often seems to glitch and you don't necessarily get the best deals that way. There can also be problems with "stuck orders" in the system that need to be cleared out of the way before the new contract can be activated.

On the Community we have always recommended that you check Talktalk's offers, keep an eye on competitors' tariffs and then actually phone or use Chat to haggle a better deal. Use the contact information in Fr8ys's signature to check opening hours and contact them during the day to discuss the issue - it may be that they can improve on the offer if this one has not gone through.

Check the contract details carefully too, which should arrive promptly if the contract is being processed.

Unfortunately, support staff are no longer available here and this will require you contact TalkTalk directly as the forum is now peer to peer and this is something we are, on this occasion, unable to help you with.
Please see the link in my signature for ways to contact TalkTalk.
