Blank screen or buffering after adverts on ITVX

We’ve been trying to watch Frost on ITVX - after each commercial break the screen either goes completely black, or buffers and then gives me an option to ‘retry’. This has never happened before and is really frustrating!

 

what do I need to do address this please?

Which box do you have?

 

This is an issues that has caused issues on ITV, All4 and 5 at various times and is caused by the app not switching back from the adverts server to the programme server as it should.

 

Is this just happening on Frost or all programmes? If just the one you should report this to ITV direct.

 

If all, this can sometimes be fixed by checking for app updates, checking for box updates, or factory reset depending on the box.

 

If a factory reset does not fix the issue then it's an app issue and again, you should approach ITV giving specifics, as the app owner.
