I have been having difficulty with watching catch up.

It has gone on for sometime and I refer to last evening I was watching a programme on ITV3 (channel 10) when after the second break for adverts it stalled. I pressed the "back" button and on the screen I was given a choice I chose "continue watching" followed by a choice I chose "retry" and the programme continued.

After the next advert break it stalled again but pressing the "back button it did not work  so I pressed the home button which took me back to Freeview. I reselected the programme again .

It was a 2 hour programme and I ended up having to go through the process again as previously out lined.

This is totally unsatisfactory please advise of a way forward without incurring increase costs.

Unfortunately this is an issue with the app and this is not under TalkTalk control. This has been reported before and also affects the C4 and 5 apps

Adverts are stored on a separate server from the programmes and switching back to the programme sometimes fails. It's strange though that the adverts always play!

This can sometimes be resolved by disconnecting the box from the mains and restarting the box

If that fails, sometimes a factory reset works, but you will lose any recordings made and have to sign into apps again. To do a reset you press the button on the left hand side 5 times

If that does not work then you may be able to negotiate a TV Hub but may need to recontract. You can do this by phone.

Reporting the issue to the App owners, ITV, may be beneficial too as they may have an update on the pipeline to be deployed.

If you need to ask for a new box, Try phoning 0345 172 0088
