"I've noticed though that doing it manually

To be honest this is the first time i have noticed it had not updated itself in the 4am - 5am slot i set up in settings,    i had no problem doing it manually but in future i will not worry now i know it'll do it eventually on its own.

Hope that also answers your question @Billx  😉

Whilst an update may show, Eero only send out the instruction to update to customers schedules in batches so it can take a while if left.

Once it shows as an update available, a customer can force the download early should they wish.

@Anonymous I've noticed though that doing it manually

may not work first time and on very rare occasions the second either.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry if your peers cannot help as there are plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. So, you are saying, don't panic

Either update it manually, or let it auto-update after 2 or 3 weeks, after it shows as downloaded?
