Until early March I was on a full-fibre Ultra Fibre Optic contract and am now out-of-contract but on the same arrangement (though at a much higher price!), using the CityFibre network. The only plans now being offered are Fibre 35 and Fibre 65, which aren't FTTP, so presumably coming into the house on the old unused copper line.
Does this mean TalkTalk will be abandoning use of the CityFibre network (in York, at least)?
If so:
(a) exactly when will the cut-off be and how much advance notice will I receive?
(b) what alternatives will be offered then?
(c) exactly what will happen to my service and landline number if I do nothing?
This is a matter of great concern to me and I'm sure to many other TalkTalk customers. A rapid response will be expected and welcome, please!
Many thanks.
