I am a new customer to Talk Talk and have been left very frustrated over the last month.
I have been trying to set up TalkTalk domain email addresses as my previous provider will switch my old ones off very soon. I like many people use various websites as part of every day life, for example internet banking to name but one.
Logging into my account is easy and then the problems begin…..
When attempting to create new email addresses, I receive a “Functions not available” message and no option to create the 5 Mail Plus addresses that is part of my package.
I have been told everything from “you need to pay for this service” to “your account has been compromised” and “this is an error with no resolution date”…..clearly not a good enough reply to any customer.
It has taken me 4 hours of online chat to 11 different people on first contact. 1 and a half hours on second contact. Over 4 hours of first phone contact and another hour to be finally told he cannot help me. At one time is was called Clyde and when i asked who Clyde was, he replied with an apology and that Clyde was in fact his cats name.
Can someone please tell me exactly what is going off?
Clearly there is an issue but dealing with non UK based call centres is challenging and many terminologies and nuances get lost in translation in both directions.
I am at my wits end with this…..is it time to early terminate my contract on the grounds that Talk Talk are clearly not keeping their end of the agreement?
Any help will be appreciated, before I become a clock tower sniper!!!

Hi Teresa21
New Full Fibre (FTTP) customers are not currently offered TalkTalk Mail. It's not part of the package.
Yes, you'll see that the customer MyAccount does include a manage mail section but the Functions not available notification means that TalkTalk Mail is not implemented. Maybe it will be implemented in the future as we had hoped. Maybe not. Many other ISP's are ceasing to offer new customers any email address.
I'm also a Full Fibre customer and likewise also do not have the ability to create new email addresses. So, just create a Gmail, Yahoo Mail or Microsoft Outlook mail address and move your contacts to that.
Sorry to be the bearer of unwelcome news. Or maybe it's welcome news as an ISP independent email address doesn't need changing the next time you switch ISP.
