I've had an email and text message saying I'm getting an upgrade for free. Is this real or a scam?

TalkTalk are offering free upgrades to full fibre in areas that are ready for full fibre connections.

Give TalkTalk a call to check the offer and to see not only if the offer is genuine but if it's an offer you wish to take.

I expect there's a TalkTalk number to call but here's the details to cross check.

 LiveChat and TalkTalk contact information

When to contact TalkTalk? - select and scroll to see contact availability times

TIP - Pause tracker blocking in the browser, ad-blockers and similar blocking software to avoid conflict with the operation of chat messaging.

Mobile calls to Customer Services on 0203 441 5550. Text Relay Service is 18001 then 0345 172 0088.

This is the way that most people are contacted by TalkTalk or CityFibre where there is a free upgrade to the new full fibre network. However, I cannot give you a 100% guarantee that it is not a scam, you'll probably get some emails about it too.
