Just wondering if i have been alone in my shocking, terrible treatment since I joined in February? From the start, they lied about a quick sign up, took 4 months to get connected. Then another 2 months because it didnt work. Then I asked for my old cheap broadband to be cancelled and they continued to bill me for 2 more months. Then im expecting compensation which they seem super keen not to give me. Then I ask to speak to a manager on the online chat, after reaching the end of my tether, and for 4 HOURS they refused, ended the chat several times, blocked me from the technical dept, and set me up for a callback that I cant do! Which i told them multiple times! Please tell me im not alone?
I fully plan to leave and will NOT be paying a leaving fee, I think its the best they can do at this point. And cancelling my direct debit since they like to avoid cancelling plans!

@Jenandrew I may not have experienced what you are encountering right now however, I now know the cause of what you feel right now. Nothing is more distressing that feeling like you are passed around when all you want is help. In this case the compensation you are referring to is compensation for provisioning delay and we unable to help with that on the forum page, please contact the order management team.
Please use the customer services number 03451720088 during these hours Monday - Friday 9am - 7pm ; Saturday - 9am - 6pm ; Sunday - Closed.

I'll close the topic for now, @Jenandrew, as there's no chance of staff support on here before you contact Talktalk directly.
These forums are for support purposes, and we hope to be able to give constructive advice.
As I said, there's a course of action to take to follow the Complaints process or simply negotiate directly with Talktalk tomorrow.

Sorry thats no help at all. As I said, I have been waiting and asking about the compensation for MONTHS. It is NOT coming automatically. They already told me the first 5 people DID NOT send off for the compensation. And I have no intention of paying fees, I will be telling them that tomorrow. I will be leaving as soon as humanly possible and they won't get another penny from me after the last 8 months. Since they dont actually cancel contracts when asked to, btw.

Oh I didnt say it had waited 2 months for the money, but i am saying it now. Talktalk have had PLENTY chances to make this right and they have refused to at EVERY point they could.

@Jenandrew, don't simply cancel the direct debit - it would just result in extra charges piling up.
Staff may be able to check where you stand regarding compensation. In certain situations it is automatic, but can only be given after resolution of the issue:
Staff are not back on here before Monday.
If you go down the Complaints route [see the link at the foot of any Talktalk page] forum staff won't be able to help you.
Let us know what course of action you want to take.
