My google mini has stopped working
I have done factory reset on the devices and rebooted the network with no luck.
I spoke to google support today who advised that it was a talk talk issue and that they had had 20 enquiries about the issue yesterday and another 10 so far today.
can anyone help please? Thanks

Hi @Pbsbuk
If it has started working OK, then perhaps the TalkTalk DNS server issue has been resolved.

Here is how I fixed it:
I had the same issue which I've solved. Unsure if it's Eero or Google update that caused it.
In eero settings turn off advanced security. This fixes it.
I turned advanced security back on as I have young kids but this blocked my music again.
I added a site exception for Youtube.com as I use my speakers to stream music and then turned advanced security back on. All good.

Hi @Pbsbuk
Does the Google app allow you to configure the IP addressing manually, rather than via DHCP? If so, static IP addressing can be configured on it, which will allow you to set the Google DNS server addresses, just for this one device. The IP address chosen has to be carefully considered, though, as it must be outside of the eero's DHCP IP address range.
In the eero app, go to:-
Settings > Network Settings > DHCP & NAT
Then PM me a screenshot of the page, it must include the Lease range at the bottom.
Then I can advise on a safe IP address for you to use for the Mini.

That was to be my next point, but I didn't know what the Google Minis did once connected.
I will ask @Mandisa-TT to get this raised via her team leader to be passed over to TalkTalk's networks team as a TalkTalk DNS server issue.

Thanks for the info. @KeithFrench will no doubt follow up with others who have the issue.
One point to remember though, is that if you use Home or Kid safe, then changing the DNS will mean these won't work as they require the TalkTalk DNS to do so.

Hi, I had the same problem with my google nest audio speakers.
From advice in another website forum, I've managed to get mine to connect to WiFi by setting a custom DNS.
Go to settings > network settings > DNS > custom You want to add Primary: 8.8.8.8 Secondary: 8.8.4.4
If you don't have option to enable custom due to "Eero plus features", you just need to disable advanced security and ad blocking.

I have just had an unsolicited PM from another customer with the same issues. I have asked him to create his own thread. However, he supplied some screenshots showing the exact same problem, the Google Mini just keeps disconnecting. Why?

Thanks for the information. From the small extract of the eero's log, your Google-Nest-Mini connected OK to the eero today at 15:14 & disconnected at 15:17. It then connected again at 15:19 & disconnected at 15:27. In both cases, that was on the 5GHz band, which was using channel 36.
The issue would seem to be that, for some reason, your Google Mini connects OK to the eero but keeps disconnecting from it. If this were an isolated incident, I would suspect poor Wi-Fi coverage. However, whilst that might address one situation, it is very unlikely to be the case with the other two threads that I am dealing with.
When I hear back from the other two customers involved, if they show the same behaviour, you need to go back to Google support. Perhaps the question needs to be rephrased to Google along the lines of "why does it keep disconnecting?".
You can try speaking to Google support now if you want, or wait to see if the other two are the same.

Hi Keith,
I did try all of your suggestions before several times with no luck before I contacted google
i have an eero router but not sure of the spec?
thanks

Thanks for that @fr8ys.
Hi @Pbsbuk
I am investigating this issue currently. What make/model of TalkTalk router do you have? I am not suggesting that the fault is with your Google Minis, at the moment, I don't know.
I have found this on Google, which might have some relevance, or it might be a red herring. I have pasted below exactly from the first search result I came across:-
