Im getting full fibre fitted next week. Ive watched the video to see what is required. I have noticed that i need a double socket or can I use an extension socket?

I do have a double socket, however i have a router plugged into one socket and the other socket i have an extension socket with my tv, soundbar, telephone, etc plugged in.

I am currently have a fibre package but not full fibre and I have the router/modem etc plugged into an extension socket.

What are people's views?  Thanks

I had the same concern, I bought a Master plug 10 way extension from Argos, it's expensive but well made and protected with anti surge suppression and thermal protection did the job perfectly.

Don't reley on the install guy for help, the only question asked was about drilling the hole, the knowledge he had was installing the BT modem after that nothing. Its a sad fact that it's only the UK where the term engineer can be used to describe someone who can barely hold a screwdriver, in most other countries the description is protected

@AnnieUpNorth it should, unless you mean the power adaptors are too big and you can't plug them in flush to get a connection.

Yes, works fine on an extension, but the WiFi hub3 will not work on a double plug adapter.

An extension is fine. I use one myself.

It's not like plugging in power lines which can degrade to signal.

Tip though, you can discuss the entry point with the engineer to suit you. I moved mine from the front of the house to the rear, which worked better for me
