Openreach ask me to TalkTalk

Yesterday, Openreach asked me to contact TT about their offers for Superfast Fibre to my home for me to go live in December. However, TT ignore my request and tell me there are no upgrades to my account.

I need to know what my ISP will provide, where it will go and what it will cost.

New customers can get answers, existing customers ignored - seemingly.

Please can someone rattle their cage?

@Weevie, you just need to look up this page:

https://new.talktalk.co.uk/broadband/deals-existing-customer

After checking what's available for your postcode, scroll down to the small print articles.

You'll see that the Full Fibre 65 can be the same price as FTTC Fibre65, but of course it all depends on what length of contract you take out etc.

You'll need to take into account though that the UK Anytime calls boost is no longer fully discounted.

I, apparently - will shortly be in a similar position

I have been a paying customer of TT (and legacy) since 2002 and am currently on a good deal (£26 per month, line and calls included) on a 65Mb connection.

I assume that once FF is available - copper will be removed pretty quickly

What is the likely charge that I will be paying - after the end of my £26 deal ?

Thank you for  your comments.

I did try Chat but they would only respond to questions relating to my present contract.

However, got a bit further  yesterday when I asked to speak to a member of the Loyalty Team. The offer to existing

customers is still being prepared and should be delivered within a week.

Openreach did say they were on track to connect my house by December.

I may need to have an additional double socket installed beforehand - either in a cupboard under the stairs or on the hallway side of the cupboard. It would be nice to know whether the sockets are for the ONT and router/ VOIP?

Hi FlashGordon,

Thanks for your post. I'd recommend contacting our Loyalty Team directly as they will be able to advise what deals are available to you in regards to FTTP.

Thanks

Michelle

They won't always offer it as an in contract upgrade, @FlashGordon.

And it may be that although Openreach is working with Talktalk in your area, Talktalk's only got so much capacity or it's not quite ready in your street etc. Advertising is not always finely tuned.

Have you actually phoned up to ask or used Chat or the Full Fibre checker?
