Openreach engineer unable to complete install

Hello,

 

An Openreach engineer visited our property on Friday but was unable to complete the external part of the install.  They have installed the ONT inside the property and run wiring through to the outside mounted box, but have not run the required cables to connect this to the network.

 

Is it possible to get an update from Openreach as to when the install will be completed?

Hi tomh-t,

 

This is the latest update from last night:

 

Engineer unable to complete the task due to General or safety assist required., OR engineer to visit the site, The task raised for Openreach engineer with required skills to complete the work and are trying our best to complete this work as early as possible. Our Next review will follow on 22/07/24. However we will notify you again if any new information is received before the next review date.

 

I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if there are any further updates

OK thanks. There was another update yesterday basically saying the same thing about safety measures needed due to heavy traffic. I'll check again later

Welcome to the Community. The engineer has advised that this will need a weekend/early start and other safety measures, due to heavy road traffic. There has been no date set for this yet but I'll check again later
