Phone Connection

I have just new fibre 150 VoIP installed by OpenReach along with the new  router.

On the back of the router the phone socket is covered by a label saying "Digital Voice Use when instructed". Is there something else I need to do or can I just remove the label and plug in my phone.

The engineer did not remove my old landline so my phone is still plugged in the master socket. Seems to be working but is this connected to my old Fibre 65 and who is now responsible for it?

Thanks

Thank you for advice.

I have just this minute had an email from TalkTalk telling me my full fibre service is live and to plug in my home phone so all is good.

When you signed up for 150, did you specifically ask for VOIP / Digital Voice and to retain your phone number?

Your phone connected to the old socket is connected to your old line and will cease to work once turned off.

If you did sign up for the phone, this should work once your copper line ceases and you will then need to plug it into the router.
