Hi @EvilRobo

In the app go to:-

Settings > Network Settings > Network Services > Reservation & port forwarding

Tap the device in question, and the resulting screen shows the Port Forwarding settings you have used; that is what I need to see.

To protect your privacy, please PM this screenshot to me.

You may well have set your rule to use TCP/UDP, but that is not what I need to know. Is the service (Transmission Client) using TCP or UDP for this port? You may need to contact their tech support to find this out.

The information below is provided by TalkTalk. For confirmation, please contact @Lorrainef, the manager of the TalkTalk support staff on this forum.

Hi Keith.  What screenshot would you like from the app specifically?

UDP and TCP are selected and both have port forwarding exceptions created for them.

Thank you.

Hi @EvilRobo

Please can you get me a screenshot from the eero app so that I can check this for you? Is this port using TCP or UDP & how are you testing it? If it is UDP and you are using a port checking website, then this will always report closed. This is because UDP behaves differently from TCP & is incompatible with these websites.

Hi there @EvilRobo, It sounds like you’ve done all the right local steps — forwarding the port in Transmission, Windows Firewall, and your Eero router — but the port still shows closed. Given your ISP is TalkTalk, the most likely cause is 1.You're behind CGNAT (Carrier‑Grade NAT) When an ISP uses CGNAT, your home router does not get a real public IP address, so no matter what you forward locally, the port will always appear closed externally. @KeithFrench  any workaround you can suggest?
