Hi,

Yesterday 3/6/25 I had my FF150VOIP connected (using a router supplied a couple of weeks ago) and am up and running with it.

Imagine my surprise when this morning (4/6/25) the post delivered another package from TT. Guess what it contained; a new router!!

What am I supposed to do with it? Replace my old new router? Return it with a note? Just return it?

Regards,

Steve

No idea why this didn't get a further response from staff, @stephen54, but yes, if your current router works fine and seems to be the latest model, just return that odd most recent arrival.

Keep a certificate of posting as it means you can track it reaching Talktalk.

Hi @Gliwmaeden2 ,

It’s nearly 2 weeks since you escalated this issue for me (Thanks) and up to now there has been no response from Talk Talk.

As the router is not a Hub3 (as required for my package) (it just says, “Talk Talk Wi-FI Hub” on the back) I intend to return it on Saturday using the supplied returns bag.

Steve

Thank you.

Sounds like the one you are currently using is the latest model, Hub3, @stephen54.

https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Wi-Fi-Hub-3/ta-p/3101780

My Hub2 has the WPS button on the back.

Edit: if you lift the plastic slide card out of the way, usually top back of the router, the sticky label should say on it exactly which model.

Hi @Gliwmaeden2 ,

I have had a closer look at the two routers and there is a difference between them.

My current one has the WPS button on the side. The new one has it on the back.

Can anyone advise which of these is the more up to date version?

Hi @Gliwmaeden2,

Thanks for the reply.

FYI;

I have returned my old router and the first new router already (09/06/2025) and as advised in this thread, I installed and started using the 2nd new router.

Steve

Hi @siphosethu-TT ,

As you will be aware from this thread I have had 2 new VOIP routers sent to me from TT.

Guess what, today (21/06/2025) I have had my 3rd one arrive!

Do you want me to return it in the prepaid returns bag?

Steve

Hi @siphosethu-TT ,

Thanks for the information. The package definitely has my name and address on it.

What do you want me to do with it? Return it to you with a note saying it was sent to me in error?  Or, better still, if you can email me with a covering letter explaining the situation to the returns department. I can put that in the return package.

Also, please make sure I don’t get billed for it.

Steve

I've looked into the account and no router was sent to you by us so perhaps it might be an address error. Thanks

Hey there, @stephen54. Please let us check for you if you are not on a new package. Or if there was a provisioning error on our end.
