I want to cancel callsafe before you start charging, and anyway I don't even have a landline phone anymore. But when I go to the link, it says 'oops page missing'. Please help.

Hi Phil
no I don’t have a landline phone. So you can remove any features.
thanks for your help

@gewlondon are you making use of your landline? Since you want to remove CallSafe, I just want to remind you that you will not be able to enjoy the features it came with however I can add last caller barring. Last caller barring is a free feature that lets you block the last number that called you or choose to block specific numbers. Last Caller Barring can be activated in My Account. For more information about last caller barring please refer to the below link.

Hi @gewlondon please advise if you were able to do this?

@Bojangle, your original thread is here:
Please follow up on your own topic, as other customers get notifications about what you posted on their threads which does annoy some people. Also, staff only respond to the original poster, so a good reason to stick to the topic where you are the OP.
You can always find your way back to threads by checking on the ACTIVITY tab in your community profile. It doesn't take a moment to find it.

I tried to cancel Call Safe for several days after their email advising the new charge.
But to no avail due to their ridiculous site that have several similar non functioning pages that either give you an OOp's or click you everywhere other than the info you need.
Someone from TalkTalk AMAZINGLY emailed to say they have done it, I must have complained on some page but I don't remember where and can't search it.
HOWEVER CallSafe is still listed on my account (well on some pages) so god only knows if anything has been done.
Besides everything else I could call them Talktalk is the most disjointed company I have ever known.

@Nimiq4, it's very hit and miss with how My Account functions these days. I don't know why it's so poorly maintained.
However, the functions you need changing can always be done at staff level, though it's more time consuming for customers having to try to reach support etc.

I’ve tried-
chrome on laptop
edge on laptop
google on phone
safari on phone
it’s pretty unimpressive. They should have defaulted everyone OUT not in so the onus wasn’t on us to cancel on their terrible site. I’m now looking to leave TT. Don’t trust them now after being with them for years

Did you use an app or just access via a browser?
I tried via firefox browser and it failed.

Just enabled "pop ups" and guess what popped up - yep "Oops"
It should be a simple website function to enable or disable an add on, why is the link to the page not working or at least giving a sensible helpful human understandable error message?
I don't even use the telephone, it's a hang on from years ago (been with TT for many years).

just tried doing it by logging into my account on my mobile and it did sort it out

me too - losing the will to live!

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried:
Win 7 with Opera, still "Oops"
Win 11 with Opera, still "Oops"
Mobile with Firefox, still "Oops"
To be honest, I've often found Talktalk online account functions clumsy and obtuse.
Don't have issues with most other websites I use.
I'll see what help can do on Monday,
