No dial tone on landline

Hi,
I have no dial tone on my landline and can't make outgoing calls. Incoming calls seem to be connected, but no audio is heard from either end.
I've tried connecting straight to the master socket but the problem is the same.
My fiber broadband is unaffected and still works fine at full speed.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi. Just a quick update.
The engineer actually didn't need to visit in the end, as he phoned and reported that the actual problem was in the telephone exchange.
It's all fixed now and the landline is working normally again!
Thanks for all the help!

Hi Andy
Ok, I'm just sending you a Private Message to confirm some details so we can arrange an Openreach engineer visit.
Thanks again.

One is a cordless phone, but the other is just a basic corded phone. But neither get a dial tone.

Hi Andy_UK72
Thanks for confirming this. Are these handsets corded phones or cordless and part of the same base station?
If you have tested with a different phone at the test socket then the next step will be an engineer visit to the property.
Thanks again.

Hi, I've just tried two different phones directly in the test socket (faceplate off, plugging directly into the test socket underneath), but still the same, no dial tone.

Hi Andy_UK72
I'm sorry to hear this.
I've completed a line test which hasn't detected any faults - Line test is clear.
Do you have a test socket? Is the phone currently at the test socket?
