Old style copper brings you basic ADSL or FTTC, both carrying a phone line to the house, @Pancreas.

Full Fibre will have new wires coming to the house, set up for Fibre to the Premises, and your phone can function via Voice over the Internet, if you order it specifically with an upgrade to FTTP.
