Problem porting number

Hi, please can someone help me?

 

I left Talk Talk about 18 months ago and moved my calls and broadband to Now TV. I have just left Now TV (4 Nov 24) to move to OGI but OGI are unable to gain access to my old number. Having spoken to Talk Talk they say that have returned my telephone number to Talk Talk? I do not know why!?  OGI have requested the port from Talk Talk but it is being rejected. I had an email from Now TV saying I had 31 days to port my number but the person on the phone at Now TV says that I do not!  I cannot get through to a human at Talk Talk to discuss any possible options to retain my old number and am concerned now that I’ve lost my home phone number forever.  Please can someone from Talk Talk help!?  Many thanks, Darren.

Hi Geordiebdiy

 

After 18 months there is a very good chance the number has been reallocated.  

 

It is down to your current provider to make the request as long as there is a porting agreement they shouldnt have a problem.

Hi. Thanks for replying. I wasn’t very clear earlier, sorry. I’m a bit frustrated at being passed from OGI to Now TV and then from Now TV to Talk Talk.  I think the main crux is that the system OGI looks at to get the porting details stated that Talk Talk held my number (but when a port request went in it was rejected - possibly because they don’t hold my number?).  


When I spoke with a lady at Now TV she said for me to speak to Talk Talk (as presumably she saw the same info on her screen that OGI did?).  I can’t find a telephone number to speak to a person at Talk Talk to try and find out where my number is now. Is this ‘pool’ you talk of held with another party?  BT perhaps?  Who can I talk to to get it assigned. OGI and Now TV are not able help, it seems.  Thanks again for taking the time to read this and assist.
