I am trying to help my sister with her new landline, BT closed down her old BT account in her previous flat on 12th March. The next day I phoned TalkTalk and asked them to port the old landline (now released) over to her new talktalk phone to replace the temporary number she had been given. They reassured me it would be done in 7-10 working days but that time has elapsed now and no action has been taken. I am concerned because there is a time limit on how long you have to port the number over and I am afraid it will be lost if TalkTalk delay with this. My sister has learning difficulties and memory loss and it is very important for her to have this old number, which belonged to her parents in their house where she lived with them previously. Is there anything else that can be done to make sure this number is transferred. I am afraid I have little confidence in TalkTalk and would be grateful for any advice/help that you can give!
