I am currently with TalkTalk for landline on VOIP.

Any truth in the rumour that current phones will not work with VOIP from next year ?

How do I mark as solved ?

There is no such thing as a VoIP phone. Anybody suggesting otherwise, especially if they are trying to sell you something, should not be trusted.

To be honest I think it was scare tactics. I know about the switchover, which I think is 2027.

But I am hoping nothing to worry about until nearer the time with regard to current VOIP phones ?

Ok, thanks.

Some older phones will not work with VOIP, but most modern phones will.

Maybe they are trying to confuse the issue with the digital switchover when copper lines are turned off.

Staff will hopefully confirm there is no truth in this rumour.

To be honest it was another provider who was trying to 'win me over'.

Their Broadband offer was both cheaper and faster, but they could not offer the landline benefits I currently have with TT.
