Thanks Chris but I have to say I've never tried using it before. I only bought a handset because I was having problems with my mobile last week and felt I needed a backup. But I will try connecting via the old phone socket.

Thanks. I've checked and your telephone service should still be available through your old telephone socket

Can you update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks

Thanks, but are you saying that even though there is a landline number on my account, I can't actually just plug a handset in because i didn't have it when the router was first installed?

If you have a Sagemcom router, there's a special slot on the bottom row at the back for phone, @lindarushby.

If you have an Eero, you need a digital voice adapter, which Talktalk should send out to you.

Either way, it's important that you asked for VOIP when you placed your order /upgrade for full fibre as they can't seem to add it later.
